There over 800 prison camps in the United States, all fully operational and ready to receive prisoners. They are all staffed and even surrounded by full-time guards, but they are all empty. These camps are to be operated by FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) should Martial Law need to be implemented in the United States and all it would take is a presidential signature on a proclamation and the attorney general's signature on a warrant to which a list of names is attached. Ask yourself if you really want to be on Ashcroft's list. The Rex 84 Program was established on the reasoning that if a "mass exodus" of illegal aliens crossed the Mexican/US border, they would be quickly rounded up and detained in detention centers by FEMA. Rex 84 allowed many military bases to be closed down and to be turned into prisons.

The camps are being set up in preparation for martial law. If (when) there is another "terrorist" attack, or a significant downturn in our economy, martial law will be instituted. Dissidents, by whatever definition the government uses, will be rounded up and placed in the camps. And under martial law, due process will be suspended, as the Constitution will be superceded by Presidential Directives and Executive Orders.

I'm living out of the US right now. Yes, I fear this kind of power-what were people thinking? But, people are more scared of Muslims and immigrants than the government. I don't know why and there are people that are very focal but they are always dismissed as crazy. I belive dissidents will be placed in the camps, along with "terrorists".

The Army wants 125,000 acres in Colorado to add to the base there. And will take it through emminent domain if necessary. And they won't say what the land is for-training, they say,

Not the USA I thought she was. Meanness, stupity abounds.

I think many people are now scared. They either don't want to believe it's true or believe it and are afraid. Things were bad the moment the US Supreme Court made the decision in Bush vs Gore to declare Bush winner because there was "insufficient time" to count the votes. When there isn't time for democracy, the democracy is lost.

Reminds me of both the Japanese internment camps, and the forced relocation of Native American tribes.

There are differences -- here, in your example, it's a due process violation for people to be rounded up and held without trial -- straight up violation of 5th and 6th Amendments, which apply to anyone regardless of citizenship.

For the earlier examples, different constitutional provisions were violated -- or ignored by the Courts, which is worse.
