im trying to find this song...dont remember any of the lyrics. Pat Benatar pops in my head, but it was another girl with a raspier voice from the 80's.

Well, unfortunately, there is/was no one else quiet like Pat Benatar. She was an original. I wish you knew 'something' about the song you're looking for. Any lyric at all would help. Simular artists (arguably) would be Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, The Motels, The Pretenders (very argualbly), and Lita Ford. Joan Jett AND The Pretenders were original in their own right, however but might remind you of Pat Benatar. Quarterflash's 'Harden My Heart' sounds like a 'slow song', if Benatar had ever done a slow song...lol Hopefully one of these will be what you're looking for or at least trigger the correct answer. :-)

Quarter Flash had a singer who doomed the band because she sounded "almost" exactly like Pat Benatar. People were wondering what Pat Benatar album "Follow my Heart" was on. That sucks when you sound too much like a notable artist that people can t find you. Then again, I guess it had to be flattering to be told you sound too much like Pat Benatar.
