How can you guys take the NFL serious anymore? Do you actual look forward to all the off-field chaos that will be put on your plate during the season? Do you like talking about thugs getting arrested every other week? Do you like that the NFL is more about marketing than the actual game itself? Are you yourself hollywood just like the NFL? Can you really take a game/league serious with guys like Terrell owens and Chad Johnson in them?

Besides growing up around the sport or having the sport fed to you by a spoon through the American media, what keeps you a fan of this horrible league they call the NFL?

Every baseball player and their "personal physician" is accused of having something to do with steroids. A basketball player was just accused of stabbing someone. It's not just NFL players, it gets more press because it's America's most popular sport.

I hate the off-season, it's the worst time of the year, this is my favorite time because college and pro football are about to begin. I have other interests that take me from the Super Bowl up to and through the NFL's regular season, but it's just not the same. It's really hard, but I don't watch too much ESPN, especially from February to July, so unless it's something really huge that's inescapable, like what's going on with the former Falcons' quarterback who shall remain nameless, I hardly know what goes on with the other 31 teams and their players.

That's my 2 for 2.

The fact that I have a love of the sport. I don't give a **** what happens off the field. I just watch it because it's football. Yeah, I have my favorite team, and my favorite player, but I will still watch any game, just for the simple fact that it is the sport of football. Just about anyone who truly loves the sport will tell you that. Yes, there are all the thugs, and there are the jokes that some of us like to call players(TO). But it's football, and it's the NFL. There's nothing you're gonna be able to change about it.

The reason all these issues are sticking out in the news so much is due to the fact that it was the only news. during offseason no football is being played so the only thing we see is what happens in the players (& not the smart 1's) personal lives. If you like the game it is easy b/c you can see what living properly & working hard can get you....a big contract doing something u love to do. when season starts back up it is like a soap opera you get to go through the highs & lows w/your favorite teams & players.

it's my love and passion. plus i love the competition and equality in the league as opposed to other sports that dont have the salary cap and playoff teams are too easily predicted. yes, the marketing stuff in the nfl are definately frustrating, i'll give you that. yes, the new rules on babying the qb's are frustrating. announcers like collinsworth pointing the camera on him instead of on the field is frustrating, but the joy and excitement from the game is what keeps me going!

T.O and Chad make the sport what it's supposed to be. Entertainment!!! Fans want to get entertained and that's why they pay that much money. The off the field stuff is simply hyped up by the media because they don't have anything else to do. It shouldn't matter what those athletes do in their free time. They get paid to play the game and that's it. There's no reason why they should be "role models" or whatever the media wants them to be.

Nothing makes me remain a fan of the NFL, I enjoy watching the games and bleed every Sunday with the Broncos.

It's the heart they keep on the field that keeps me a fan. what they do in their personal life is their business, not mine.

Besides, anyone on anything that involves television is marketing, so what's your point? If your name is out there, advertisers will be looking for you.

T.O. is a crybaby.. and everyone knows that Chad Johnson is not bringing sexy back. Don't take their comments seriously,

take the game seriously. It's a battle the Bears are going to win!!

Listen here sport, you act like the NFL should be full of perfect people who never commit a crime. Tell me something are you perfect? The truth is WE are all imperfect. Besides, no one is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to watch football anyway. If you want to ignore the NFL forever, be my guest, I assure you no one will care.

It beats the hell out of being a BASEBALL fan!
BaZZZzzzzzball is BORRRRRRRrrrrring!!

America's game is FOOTBALL BABY!!
16 games and every last one of them, except for a few teams that are perennial scrubs, is important.
You can't say that about BaZZZzzzzball where over HALF the teams are out of the pennant race after the 2nd month of the 6+ month season!!
