What would you have done?

Ok..so i saw this couple put thier young kid (i'm seriously guessing like no older than 6) in the front seat then the mom sat in the back seat next to a childless carseat.....The child was not visable through the window from about 5 feet away...I didnt say anything or report it..but if they had an accident(near a highway and a rotary and major route) that kid would not have a good chance..I wanted to say "HEY they make laws for a reason you know" the force from the airback alone could snap the poor boys neck....

I always want to say something to people like that...and those that put their feet on the dash.

I work for one of the Big 3 automotive companies, and we see what happens when children sit in the front, or people whose knees go through their chest, from car accidents.

And it's horrifying to say the least.

I am an EMT/Firefighter, and single mother of a beautiful daughter. What this couple did was against the law. They were selfish, negligent, and uncaring. I have been to way too many wrecks with children involved, and trust me, some of them were not pretty.
They should have been turned in immediately. And I think anyone who is that stupid should be made to see what happens when stupid people risk other people's lives, especially children. My child is 7 years old, and no matter what, is always in the backseat, with a seat belt and shoulder strap on. If these people had to go out in the middle of the night and pick up body parts from a young child splattered all over the road, they would think twice about risking their own.

I hate when kids are that spoiled that a parent is forced to sit in the back b/c the child wants to sit up front. That is annoying and very very dangerous I feel bad for those kids that are spoiled like that b/c in the future there gonna get a very rude awakening.

A kid shouldn't sit in the front seat until he or she is at least 9 years old or so - And fairly tall for their age... I don't know what I would have done.

But then again I hate nosey people, and I wouldn't want to be one of them. Not My problem, not my child, none of my business.

you are so right and most of the time it takes something horrible to happen to make parents realize the saftey of putting their children in a car seat. I personally always do, and i don't let my 7 year old sit in the front either.

I will let my daughter ride in the front,but only if we are just going around the corner.My truck does not have passenger side airbags,she stay's in her seat belt,and she is just over 4 foot tall.
