1 - This Film was Rated R by the MPAA for pervasive crude and sexual content, strong language, drinking, some drug use and a fantasy/comic violent image - all involving teens.
2 - The producers and creators weren't competent enough to make a hilarious movie without resorting to the crass.
3 - Hollywood thinks that only "R" rated movies will reap the financial reward they prostitute themselves for and apparently greed is a major factor in such decisions.
4 - The masses will flock to it.

Lmao actually it has ervything you just mentioned Nudity-when he is in the store or something they show some playboy magazine, Lots of cursing and offcourse drugs. And I think superbad rated and unrated are about the same execpt the unrated might have a little extended version

There is nudity. Graphic drawings of male "parts", loads of swearing, and some other graphic scenes that I have actually never seen in a movie before so I don't know how to classify them. In other words, I have never laughed so hard in my life.

it is rated R because well there is nudity, underage drinking, and a lot of profanity...i think the "F bomb" is dropped hundreds of times...but it one of the best and funniest movies that i have ever seen!

if your not 18 yet DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE.
I don't even let my 14 year old son watch the commercials.
