Two days before and day of. So that the sperm is waiting when the egg is released. If you start 5 days before and have sex everyday it takes a full 24 hours for a man to regenerate a higher count of sperm. So i recommend two days before and day of.

Well either or is ok. Sperm can live in the uterus for as long as 72 hours, so even if you do it a couple days before you still have a fighting chance. However girl sperm is stronger than boy sperm, so if you want to try for a girl a couple days before ovulation is the best time, because the boy sperm dies off faster. If you want a good chance for a boy do it the same day as ovulation, so the boy sperm has a good chance of reaching that egg!! Good luck!

I would say if you know your cycle start 6 days prior having sex every other day. The reason being is that it allows the sperm to mature. They can live in your body for up to a week. This would optimize your chances, also during the rest of the month try to do the deed as much as possible to up his supply. The more his body uses the more he will make. Good luck : )

Since there is no way to pin point to the exact moment when u ovulate, they say the 5 days before and a couple days after to make sure that u catch the egg. Most peole say that if you do it 2 days before and the day of ovulation, you have your bases covered.

You should start trying four days before ovulation and keep trying until two to three days after. Most people I know that have concieved ended up getting pregnant by doing it this way. You can also take your basal temp and on the day it is the highest try several times that day.

You start trying 5 days before ovulation (since sperm lives that long) up until the day afterwards. If the man is healthy and doesn't have a low sperm count, then it's fine to try everyday. With both my pregnancies we had sex everyday during my fertile time and got pregnant right away.

Sperm can remain viable for up to 72 hours after intercourse. So you absolutely could have conceived. However, don't get your hopes up just yet....you didn't mention how old you are, whether you've been on birth control or any other medications, your partner's health etc. These are all factors that contribute to your success rate. So for now...keep a positive attitude and happy baby-making!

I'd start the three days before, and the day of. Before that week of ovulation, have sex about twice a week to keep the sperm supply fresh! Good luck!
