If it has a good beat or I like it for the riffs or chords and I usually dont listen to the words until I like the song for the music. Sometimes though, I listen to the words and I realize thats a messed up song and I wouldn't like if I listened to the words first. Has that ever happened to you? What song?

I guess I do both. I'm first attracted to the beat and as I listen to the words, if it has meaning to me, then that makes me like it even more.

Yes, the one song that just gets me is Throw Yourself Away by Nickelback. I LOVE the music, but the lyrics light my fuse because of the straight condemnation coming from the band. I would never have listened to it at all except for the killer guitar and drums.

mmmm.... i listened to the gorillaz for some time. loved the beats, loved the vocals, but never knew what they really meant. i did a little reasearch & guess what, they're satanic.

took me a while to actually stop listening to them because music is an important thing in my life.
