It's some pretentious thing about standing up for avatar games and whatnot. As if to say "I'm still standing and will continue to fight, despite so-and-so's suspension".

You know, I've noticed the same thing. On the Italian yahoo site I see a lot of people with nicknames followed by the word "protesting!". Its meaning is not quite clear for me, but perhabs it's a way to say they don't accept rules or stuff like that... :o\
