A detailed summary of the entire season would take too much space. In a nutshell, George and Callie went to Vegas and got married after his dad died. Izzie and George slept together after him and Callie had a fight. Callie wants to have a baby. Burke left Christina at the altar. Meredith and Derek are on thin ice and in the last episode he had a flirting deal going on with her sister. Meredith's mom died. Richard's estranged wife was pregnant but lost the baby...He found out he was the father. Addison left the hospital to go to a fertility clinic and found out she was basically barren. Karev moved into Meredith's house when George moved out.
I know I've skipped details, but last season (season 3) comes out on DVD on September 11 so you can get caught up before too much of this season goes by.
Season 4 starts on ABC on September 27, so you have at least two full weeks after season 3 comes out on DVD to get caught up.

Meridiths Sister Molly had a baby - Molly's mom said the Mer that they could be her famliy. George's dad had his Surgry and it was OK and McDreamy and the WHOLE crew opperated on joined twins that wanted to be sperated another success....Can't believe you missed it - I go NUTS when I miss an episode.
