It is highly possible that there are men who believe that crying rape is a feminist thing, but I know of none of them. Most rapes are a female thing, although not all. Rape is not about sex, it's about dominance and proving superiority, or just a cruelty issue. Date Rape is a different thing. Most times it starts as consensual and goes wrong. Or the girl gets scared, but there are times when date rape is just plain rape, and either way there is no excuse for it. "I was drunk" or "I was stoned" or "it's her fault for wearing those clothes" just don't cut it in my book. I've never felt the need to rape to be a man, or for sex, there are way too many willing partners for that. Anyways, I digress. NO it is not a feminist thing to yell rape when a rape happens, or even when it doesn't. When there is no rape and a female claims there was, it's a stupidity thing.

I have no idea about the show, but women should NOT claim rape if rape didn't occur... that really ticks me off because it takes away from the women who were actually raped.
If you are thinking that women are feminist because they were raped that's just stupid, they are survivors. But if you are talking about women who claim rape when they weren't I wouldn't call them feminist either, I would call them pathetic and in serious need of mental help. As well I find it to be criminal because peoples lives are destroyed when they claim something that never happened.
I could better answer if you were more clear as to if the women who claim rape were raped or if they claimed rape but were not raped.

L & O is fiction. I think it is likely the group was made up, although it could be modeled after something.

As for your question, it has nothing to do with feminism, except in the sense that feminists helped to make it easier for women to come forward. Rape is real and it is horrible for the victim and the victim's loved ones. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either ignorant or evil.

I would think some people might rush to judgment on rape. I just read an article in Newsweek about a nurse doing that with the Duke lacrosse team. I don't know much about rape but I know it happens.

i wonder if these same men, would say the same thing. if their sister, wife, mother, daughter, niece etc. were unfortunate to go through rape.i seriously doubt it.
and what would this group call men who have been or will be raped in the future (way to many of these are unreported-sad to say) probably because so called groups such as these wouldn't allow men the right to seek help by the stereotyping they do.
I wouldn't go through the trouble of even looking up the name of the group.
Take care!

That's crazy. Being raped has nothing to do with feminism. No woman chooses to be raped. A woman can choose to be a feminist or not.

Not exactly. A feminist is a woman who consentually has sex (not rape), feels guilty about it afterwards, and rather than admit she enjoys being with men, says she was raped.

I've never heard of rape being a feminist thing.

The way I hear, either they really got raped, or they are trying to get someone they hate for somereason put away.

A girl in my school tried to do that to my friend because he refused to date her. But she was fugly and he has a hot girlfriend who gives it to him regularly, so no one believed her.

So if I don't enjoy being raped I'm a feminist? I thought feminism was when you didn't shave your legs, woops.
