Did anyone like the Horrorfest movies? If so, which one was your favorite?

The only ones that really live up to the horror standards were Reincarnation, Wicked Little Things, and Dark Ride

Reincarnation: .. alright, this got my favorite spot.. mostly because I am a sucker for Asian horror.. it should be tied with Wicked little things for the spot.. but.. oh well.. Acting was flawless, I was not able to predict what was going on, it had drama and intensity while keeping the horror in it..

Wicked Little Things.. this takes me back to the older horror movies.. but adds that extra detail.. The well thought out story.. I loved the history, I loved the fact that they made the "bad guys" understandable.. I felt sorry for them.. and between the make up and the actual acting ability of the kids.. damn.. they were some creepy little ones.. and the one that played Mary looked like me when I was that age.. If you don't like watching movies with subtitles, this would be the one I recommend you start with.. (reincarnation is subtitled)

Dark Ride REALLY has that old horror feel.. and actually has a plot similar to several older films that I vaguely remember.. This one has some bigger names than the rest, and the acting is on.. It doesn't come to the top only because it isn't that original.. it really is more like a tribute to old horror.. Worth it though..


Abandoned would have made an excellent dramatic type movie.. but not really scary.. almost like metaphysical drama..

Grave Dancers.. Love the story, but one of the main actors sucks.. his lines are read with no feeling.. the story should have been fleshed out a bit more... this one had alot of potential, but didn't quite make it..

Unrest.. the ONLY part that makes this so "controversial" is the use of actual cadavers.. (this takes place in a Gross Anatamy lab.. so you see them disecting actual bodies).. the story is really good..but not terribly scary..

Penny Dreadful was creepy... and really good.. but not terribly scary..

and the Hamiltons.. so NOT scary.. Take party of Five and combine it with.. say Monster Squad.. there you go.. It actually could have made a great drama story.. , and the characters are great, the acting was even pretty good.. nothing shocking... but it's just not scary.. It deals with the family relationship of a non-traditional family that lives outside of societies laws.. but .. they didn't go deep enough into it to give you a great story..
