It goes back to the 70s when schools in boston were de-segregated, and the white (mainly irish) populace went insane. This was 30 years ago, but once you get a bad reputation it can be hard to shake.

No one thinks this

I lived in Jamaica Plain for many years
its like any other US city
with a higher concentration of students
there are like 50 colleges in a 10 sq mile radius..

Of the 25 biggest cities in the US (by population) only San Francisco, Chicago and New York City have a larger population density than Boston.

According to the census.
The racial makeup of the city was 54.47% White, 25.33% Black, 0.40% Native American, 7.52% Asian American, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 7.83% from other races, and 4.39% from two or more races. 14.44% of the population was Hispanic or Latino who can be of any race.

Boston has black people. All major populated area have black people. There might not be as many as you may think. But I think you are talking about the instance with Kevin G. playing for Boston.

Boston is one of the "three (so called) great racist cities." Please notice the so-called 'great' is under a quote. The other two are Philadelphia and Kansas City.

This started in the late nineteenth century, but really culminated after WWI. In Boston, it was mainly due to elitism (particularly wealth), and the other two it was due to the Cosa Nostra.

Maybe they are living in a cave? Anyway I live here and there are many racist people here. I have them in my class. I had a confrontation. I think the best way to deal with racist people is to let them see how wonderfully happy we are not to be racist we can live where we want, live anywhere and not worry someone's skin color will rub off on us if they bump into us. There are racists everywhere just combat it with love and say everyday there is no racist people in the world and there will be less and less.
