because they're insane and the law only applies to those they want it to apply to. barney franks had sex with male pages in his office and i don't recall an outcry for him to resign????
nope.
what's good for them is not good for someone else.
they wrap themselves in the law or the constitution when it suits their propaganda and or lies.
to clodia the putz above: republicans defend their criminals tooth and nail? really that's why dozens have called on the moron to RESIGN?? william jefferson in LA found with 90k in his freezer, he gave up his committee chair but did not resign though he's a criminal. NO Democrats called for his resignation. freakin' liar.

Apparently the democrats have forgotten about Stubbs and Reynolds who actually had sex with underage people.
Stubbs had sex with a male page who was a minor and there was no resignation, no calls for an investigation, and the guy was even reelected
Reynolds was convicted for his offense and Clinton gave him a commuted sentence.
Barny Frank claims he didn't know a male prostitution ring was being run out of his office yet there are no calls for resignation, no calls for an ethics inquiry nada.
BTW...Barney Frank is still in office!!
Seems to me the democrats only want to "protect the children" when a GOPer is guilty of these disgusting acts.

I realize that Muslims do not like Liberals, but I LOVE freedom. Thus, I defend their right to live less-than-free lives, even as I defend the rights of conservatives to live less-than-free lives. If you choose to live that way, then why should anyone interfere? Neither Muslims nor conservatives are fond of Liberals, but I am fond of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the freedom to choose not to be free. The only thing I DON'T support them in is their attempt to force their values on the West. I am not a Muslim, and should not be forced to live by their limited creed. Nor do I support the conservative attempt to force their values on the cultural Left - I am not a conservative, and should not be forced to live by their limited creed. What's wrong with supporting freedom for those with whom you disagree?

Same reason Republicans defend their party's criminals tooth and nail. Why do you think the reason would be any different?
By the way, is that what you call it, now....sneezing?

Absolutely correct. All I have heard all day is "Sen. Craig is unfit for his position... morally wrong...etc."
What about...
Ted Kennedy? - Drove a girl into a lake and left her to suffer and die.
Barney Frank? - Suspected of running male prostitution rings from his apartment. Reported to have used government vehicles and funds in this "business".
Diane Feinstein? - Millions, perhaps billions of $ in government contracts awarded to companies she and her husband are CLOSELY associated with.
Bill Clinton? - Immoral conduct while at work - Not in private life, BUT AT WORK. No different that a man screwing his secretary when he is supposed to be making reports, etc.
And liberals are questioning Craig's morality????? I was under the impression that they were all for Gays and Lesbians, and freedom of sexualy, and freedom of sex...

Because they ALSO want to win. And if you take away all of the criminals in politics, you'd be left with nothing but a bunch of second stringers and volunteers.
Hmmmmmmm....!

That's funny, I thought it was the Republican Senators who called for Craig's resignation, after he "sneezed" the wrong way...

what we are missing is humility and accountability ... from both conservatives and liberals

Why do people generalize? Seriously, there are bad apples in both bunches and everyone in politics has an agenda: furthering their own career.
