Get the four stroke.

Some states, such as California, have banned the sale of new two stroke engines due to the increased pollution they make. If you go to Lake Tahoe, which is partly in California, they will ticket you if you have a two stroke engine that does not meet the UA EPA 2006 standard.

The ban on two strokes is only going to continue so save yourself a headache and get a four stroke and not worry about it. Besides, four strokes run quieter.

A 4cyl has much more power for fuel burnt and is much cleaner and quieter, no mixing fuel and less starting trouble. having said that they weigh mor than a 2 stroke engine. It's a compromise you"ll have to talk to your dealer about.
