THAT IS JUST FOR ONE DAY. A SHOW OFF. A MINDLESS INCIDENT WILL TRIGGER THE COLLAPSE OF A DELICATE PEACE.

In times like this, the club rivalry between Liverpool FC and Everton FC become very insignificant. All that matters now is that a boy in the city of Liverpool has been taken away from us. As people of Liverpool, both clubs should stand together and pay tribute to the loss of Rhys Jones.

This is why Liverpool Football Club is so different from other major clubs across Europe. We have that extra bit of passion. I'm not saying other clubs lack passion, i'm just saying we have that little bit more.

As a fan of LFC, i'm so proud of what we've done for the Rhys family and it was especially touching when the Everton tune was played before our very own YNWA anthem. Red or Blue, the Merseysiders have stood together in times like these and they should be proud of themselves. It was just like the Hillsborough disaster back in 1989, when Everton fans sung YNWA as a tribute to our departed ones.

Though not born in Liverpool myself [far from it considering that i'm an asian], i still feel so proud to part of this club, to be connected to such a special club and it's proud culture. Through this incident we have proved that while we will always be rivals with Everton on the field, such 'hatred' cease to exist once we are off it.

I'm not so sure that little Rhys would have been proud to see both rivals standing together in unity; he might be too young to understand why, but i'm very sure he'll be having a mischievous grin on his face at the thought of being the cause of playing the Everton tune at Anfield.

Let us all, fans or rivals, pay tribute to both the 11 year old Everton fan Rhys Jones who was murderered, and Antonio Puerta of Sevilla who died from a heart attack.

As Rafael Benitez rightly put it, "Football must take a back seat when such tragedies happen."

Well Liverpool F.C. roll out the red carpet for the Jones family grief, and are deeply upset of this tragedy as we totally condone violence.
