Really it's all subjective. We interpret the sounds in forms that are easier for use to spell. Cows make noises that sound like "moo" but they don't actually say "moo".

I would like to say cattles, cows, long horns, black angus, diary cow any type of cattle will moo all the way to the moon. lol! :)
