First of all you have to realize that doing video editting (making amvs in this case) is no where near the cakewalk that it is to simply play videos. Often times you have to go to some interesting sites, or you may have to alter your videos encoding in order to prepare it for use. You aren't going to find a website that has 100,000 anime clips in the convenient .wmv format on the off chance that someone may possibly want to use them for an amv in Windows Movie Maker. I'll try to give you some good starting places for looking for sources, as well as some tools you may need.

Sources:
The best material that you could use for amvs would be RAWs (aka original japanese audio videos). RAWs usually have the best quality, don't have any subtitles to get in the way, and are in a format that Windows Movie Maker can handle (.avi). The only place that you can reliably get RAWs at though is via bittorrent. http://www.tokyotosho.com/index.php?cat=7 has many RAWs that you can search and download from. You can also try other bittorrent search sites (irc also works, if you find the distributor's channel).

Tools:
Here are some tools that may help- but I can't list tutorials for all of them here. You will need to use google to search for guides, or read the documentation, or ask for help on very specific questions (here or on the product's forum).

Windows Media Encoder- This is a free download from microsoft (found here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/encoder/default.mspx ) that let's you convert certain movie files to .wmv which will always work in Windows Movie Maker.

VirtualDubMod- A free download found on SourceForge (found here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=65889) this let's you do all kinds of things for editting video.

MKVToolnix- A free download (found here: http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/) that you can use if you can only find the file you want in mkv (a very common) format. You won't be able to load mkvs into either Windows Movie Maker or Media Encoder. But with MKVToolnix you can rip the video out into a format that you can handle with other tools.

There is some basic information. If you are really serious about doing this stuff, use google, and check out the documentation at each of these websites. I hope this wasn't too much.

Depends on what you want and where you want to download it it. You can download by torrent or directly. You can download episodes or get clips from AMVs other people have made. I recommend downloading episodes. It may take a long time but it's faster than by torrent (downloading by torrent, depending on your internet connection, may take more than a week to download 1 episode.) and you have more clips to choose from than from an AMV someone made.

To download an anime by Torrent, you should go here:
http://www.download.com/BitTorrent/3000-2196_4-10578458.html/?tag=lst-0-

and then here: http://www.torentz.com

To download an AMV you should go to http://www.animemusicvideos.org/

And to download anime directly go here: http://www.animea.net/series

If you need any more help or clarification please send me an e-mail and I'll try to help you in any way I can.
