It's not water leaking, it's condensate that is not draining properly. Check to see if the drain pan outlet is blocked.

angle of your drian pipe is off, also have your ac unit leveled,if it is an inside unit it is possible the unit itselve has sunk into the flooring just a inch or two can make a huge differance.the water is backing up into the drain pan and has no place to go other than your airducts,check angle of drain pipe,level of ac unit,check drain pan spout make sure it is over pan.

in my experience, mostly a frozen coil that is now thawing will often put alot of water on the floor.
could also be the drip pan is plugged or the condensate line is plugged.
pretty much, those are the only things it could be
