In the middle of your cycle (so two weeks in or two weeks to go) one of your ovaries releases an egg and you become more fertile at this time. This feeling can often cause a cramp that ranges from a slight twinge in your side to a terrible pain that puts you out for the rest of the day! Sounds to me like you were just releasing!

I had cramping really bad for two weeks, right after I had a very light painless (not normal for me) period. I thought I was pregnant because I was experiencing symptoms, went to the clinic and they tested twice. They told me I wasn't pregnant, but that I should schedule for a pelvic exam to see what the problem is. So I think that maybe you should go in and talk to your doctor, it could just be ovulation but it may also be something else. The sonner you find out where the cramping is coming from the better. I hope everything is ok, good luck!

I had this same problem a few years ago. I went to the doctor and she told me it is a normal thing called Middle Schmertz (not sure if that is the correct spelling). It is when your eggs are being released it gives you cramps right inbetween your periods. Take advil (ask your parents first if you are under 18). Don't worry, you're normal, healthy, it's ok.

you can be ovulating it happens to me, when I ovulate I have severe cramps, and pain in my sides. It is terrible I know what you´re talking about. no worries it is usual and common. Also due you are in the middle I really think you´re ovulating.
What are the symptoms of ovulation?
Mittelschmerz/Lower Abdominal Discomfort
About one-fifth of women actually feel ovulatory activity, which can range from mild aching to twinges of sharp pain. This ovulation symptom, called Mittelschmerz, may last anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours and is usually noticed in the right side of lower abdomen.
Good luck! ;D

There are so many different things it could be, some serious, some nothing at all, and some somewhere in between. The best thing to do is to call your gyno and talk to him/her. It's not a big deal, and he/she should be happy to talk to you.

The only thing i can think of related to what you are saying is possibly an ovarian cyst. Almost all ovarian cysts are not serious and all women get them in their life...talk to your GYN and ask them to exam you
