A girl I knew years ago told me her religious beliefs. She said that she had to be a vegetarian, because in the year 2000, some sort of monster would come from the sea and eat everyone who ate meat. I told her that were made of "meat", so he'd eat everybody, but she was convinced. I've always wondered what happened to her... 2000 came and went....
Has anybody heard of such a thing? This was what she and her whole family followed.

She wasnt joking. I dont believe in the sea monster stuff, but it intrigues me because SHE DID.

Never heard of it. Obviously BS, because it's been, oh, 7 years ago or so now. I eat meat and no sea monster came to get me. Kind of hard for a sea monster to get to Wisconsin, unless it's a fresh-water sea monster.

if it eats anyone who EATS meat, why would it eat everyone because they are MADE of meat? and no ive never heard of it, but because it has a specific date it is probably some sort of cult. most religions are entirely vague on actual dates as to attract people in every time period.
