No. I don't like the idea that someone else controls my life.
You cannot prove determinism (belief in fate) as either true or false.
I believe if you believe in fate, you will unconsciously follow a path you feel deemed to follow.
Religion plays no part in the question.

I believe in both of those things, because I think that first, we create our own destiny, then fate hands us things which correspond to our choices.

I want to believe in fate. So many things seem to happen by chance or by luck. But I also believe in angels that guide. It helps me sleep at night knowing something is watching out for me

That's an issue of great debate and probably always shall be. Whether one believes that one's future is predetermined has a lot to do with their personal experiences, ethnicity, religious preference, and so forth.
My personal view of fate is the same as the following quote.
"I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul"... William Ernest Henry

Ahhh, I go two ways on this. I believe that things happen the way they do for a reason, but then I mean.. then we make decisions that influence our future such as education, etc.
I think I'm going to side on fate though.

I don't believe in fate. In a sense it exists because God is outside of time so the entire line of our time is simultaneous to him. However time is subjective to us, so we get to choose what sort of people we're going to be. The vastly complex interactions of billions of choices by millions of people curtail those choices, it's true, and in many ways it feels so much like fate that most people have believed it through history. They were wrong; Adam Smith demonstrates it by means of economics of all things.

I believe in faith. I also believe that there three types of faith. The first one is faith that is set for us yet we do not know what determines our destiny. The second one is where people tells us what are faith is, where they say we are meant to become or what they want us to do. The final one is where we make our own faith, where we decide what our destiny is instead of people tellings us what to do.

No. Things happen for no reason at all. But we don't have complete control of our destiny either, as we are at the mercy of things beyond our control (however there is no mystical reason for those things, if that's what you're getting at).
**** happens. Period.

i believe in fate.... but i also think that we can influence fate by deciding own choices. creating our own cross roads and choice the desired path to follow. i also think that sometime we have to let go of ourselves and allow fate to chose and decide for us.......
