I don't know if you can completely obliterate the smell. But try washing them again.Vinegar and baking soda get rid of odors best. But use soap and detergent.Don't put them in the dryer, they'll smell like rubber. But wait for a cool night when the stars are out (Usually when its starry, it doesn't rain. Not sure though.)Always wear Clean socks with them in the meantime have a footspa with tea laves and hot water and put some nice smelling lotion or parfum on before puttin on your shoes.
Hope this helped!

Every house should have Bicarbonate soda.
Rub it inside your shoes.
Alternatively use Teatree oil inside - its antibacterial and will kill the germs.
If your feet feels itch while wearing the shoes, even after you've treated it - chuck it.
PS: Bicarbonate soda is also good for clean burned pots and pans, stains on carpets (even make-up).

Put a fabric softener dryer sheet in each one and let them dry thoroughly. That should take the smell out.

Put a chunk of charcoal inside each shoe, and fuggeddaboudit!
To speed up the process, place the shoes inside their box or a paper or plastic bag....
Overnight you'll have your shoes back...48 hours at the most.
Use charcoal for all your stinky shoe needs....it ALWAYS works!

wash them again, and then this time hang then up inside the house with a towel underneath to catch the drips and maybe a fan blowing on it to help them dry. or what you could do it fabreeze them or use a odor eliminator on them. then blow a fan on them to help them dry completely.
