How do you usually greet people?

One of those two. I hate talking to people sometimes though, after I ask them about their job, and what they've been up to. I'm kinda fresh out of ideas! =P

It depends on the person and the situation. If I meet or see my boss in the hallway or in the conference room ( for a business conference etc) I'll smile, say good morning or good evening and shake his/her hand with eye to eye contact, pause for couple seconds to give each other time to do a little talk ( for formality purposes).
And if I see my friends I usually say hey how are you? or whatsup? and just walk away.

When I'm working, I greet my co-workers by name, and sometimes a little chit chat. When it's my friends, I might sqeal and hug, or just nod and wave. My boyfriend usually gets a hug and peck.

I usually give a "hey there" to most people I meet, and give hugs to friends I haven't seen in a while.

I don't greet people- I wait to be greeted.

i usually say:
(to a girl) "Hi! I'm Nicky!" and ask a question about the situation i'm in. ex.: "I'm new here. What do you guys usually do?"

(to a guy) I usually let him start the conversation and go along with what he says or asks.

Nah- just kidding. I usually say hi, but it can depend on what kind of setting I'm in: business, home, casual, etc.
