My best friend has a giant Oscar. He loves bugs. She feeds him crickets all the time & he's been fine. But the other day she got the bright idea to feed him a moth. Ever since he's been lathargic at the bottom of the tank and barely eats. Aren't some moths poisonous? I thought I read that some where? If this particular moth was poisonous, is there anything she can do to save her fish?

It is very good to feed Oscars crickets instead of feeders. Oscars are not naturally piscavores, and should not be fed fish. Crickets are very good, but I would never recommend crickets (or anything) that you find in your yard. Pesticides, chemicals, bacteria, and many other issues can be introduced to your tank. Instead, stick with store bought crickets and other bugs.

EDIT: Unless she wants to pump the fish's stomach, there is nothing she can do but wait.

Your friend should not be feeding crickets or moths to her oscar especially if she gets them from outside. Bugs from outside can sometimes have pesticide residue on them which can make your fish very sick.
A better thing to feed oscars are live feeder goldfish, bloodworms, blackworms or even earthworms (if they are thoroughly cleaned first).
Tell her to keep changing the water daily. Hopefully there will be an improvement.
