put aside the really junk guys and the really famous players. whats the average yearly income of a professional baseball player.

Around 2-3 million...for guys that have established themselves.

If your Ichiro or Nomar Garciaparra, this is probably around the average :

Per year : $7,500,000
Grand total (All years) : At least $45,000,000

EDIT : Kudos to Omar Minaya (Mets VP) for signing David Wright AND Jose Reyes, for only $4-5 million per year! Good lord that's a bargain for any team...

The average? I'd say about 1.5 Million - 5 Million.
