No just because we have had a lot of great running backs coming through the college game in recent years most notably Reggie Bush and Adrian Peterson; both of which I think will wind up being better pros than Darren McFadden. But that being said he is still one of the most dynamic players in the game. What makes his numbers so much more impressive is that he has done it all in the SEC against top flight defenses and playing for an offense that just runs the football. So defense's will stack the box with 8 or 9 guys and he will still produce results.
The Wildcat formation they use is a big help for this because they get an extra blocker in and the QB (McFadden) does the rushing; which can yield some big plays.
I think he will turn out to be a formidable pro (he reminds me alot of Ronnie Brown; but a little more agile and with better vision...but not quite the receiving threat). I still think that Reggie Bush and Adrian Peterson are better all-around backs though IMO.

Sure he's a great back, but we've had Adrian Peterson and Reggie Bush in the past two seasons, so if by a long time, you mean this season, yes. But I think both Bush and Peterson will have better professional careers. Especially if Peterson can stay healthy, I think he will be a Tiki Barber caliber running back.

McFadden is the best college running back since Red Grange. And that idiot that said John David Booty was better.....Booty ain't even the best QB at USC. If DMac don't win the Heisman, they need to close down the award and trash it. The scary thing....he's only a Junior.

Yeah, he's definitely a bad dude. I'm an LSU fan and that last game of the season against Arkansas really worries me. Thankfully, it'll be in Baton Rouge.
Felix Jones isn't too shabby either.

He will win the Heismen regardless of Arkansas' success this season. That's saying a lot.

He's roughly as good as Adrian Peterson. So if by a long time you mean a year.....then yes.
