You know, I did my Master's thesis on Guevara and I'm perpetually amazed at the fact vs. legend.
This guy was a child murderer and someone who got his rocks off torturing and killing teenaged boys and old men in prison after the revolution. He never actually drove a motorcycle, his buddy drove the entire time and he rode *****. Raul used to tease Che all the time because he thought he was such a wimpy mamma's boy. In the jungles, he complained all the time.
Fidel got so sick of his whining he sent him to Africa and South America to "spread the revolution" , which was really to get rid of the mosca. Fidel and Raul then refused to give him the support they promised. There's good intellegence that Castro actually leaked the rebels position in Bolivia, ending his embarrassment at Che. This guy was a loser.
