These Americans think Canadians live in igloos, they don't. I live in Canada, and we've had the hottest summer this year, I talked to a few people from the USA (by email) and 3 of them asked about snow and if im living in an igloo. WHat's up with that? WHy are Canadians stereotyped as being Eskimos?

Did you notice that you just stereotyped Americans in saying that "These Americans think Canadians live in igloos"? I'm American, I've been to Canada, and I know that Canadians don't live in igloos, so if you're going to complain about people stereotyping you, don't make the same mistake yourself.

speaking of clearing up stereotype you just cleared one up for me the one that Canadians are polite,and as for Canadians living in Igloos this is the first I've heard that I could have sworn they live in houses.

Because some Americans' thinking does not go beyond their noses let alone rational thought. When we were overseas, most Europeans think that all Americans are fat, lazy, and rich. I've been to Canada. Nanaimo, Prince Rupert, Bella Bella, Hope, Surrey, they're all beautiful places. More so than down here in the lower 48 states.

you must be talking to some dumb americans then. im an american and i dont think people in canada live in igloos. dont use it as a plural and make it seem like we are all stupid, because we all aren't.

Mostly I think they are just playing with you. At least I hope that is the case. I lived in northern Maine and it gets cold as all get out up there, so I know it's cold in Canada.

well, i'm american, and i don't think that you guys live in igloos! lol but i DO think that alaskans live in igloos....don't they?!
but i don't think that you guy's summers are as hot as ours. i think you guy's summers are like 50 or 60 degrees(to YOU GUYS, thats pretty hot; but to us, its freezing)
