Alicia Keys or Mary J. Blige?

Question

if you were only allowed to keep one of them (their music) in your library, which one would it be?

Mary J. has been cited as being inspiration for Alicia , but i prefer Alicia 's style of music.

I'm keeping Alicia, but not saving Mary J., in my napster.
Maybe if she didn't have all her best songs as "BUY ONLY's , i might have been able to like her more .

Oh Well. too bad for her. I may have to buy Alicia's "songs in a minor", tho. She has it available for a listen ,from beginning to end, and it is wonderful straight thru.

and who else do you know who sounds more like Alicia? i'd like to find more singers , like her, to listen to.

Not that they are in the same league as the great female singers......but I'd pick Mary because she "SANGS".

Alicia is cultured and trying to be real but Mary has been in the gutter and can translate that. Sometimes she's too depressing even for me to listen to for long.

If I was gonna fight over two female singers it would be Anita Baker & Sade.

Mary J Blige is my sought after singer I even have all her albums. First is Whitney Houston (RIP), she grow to be additionally a powerful actress. 2d Mary J Blige, like I mentioned sought after singer. 0.33 Alicia Keys, she has skills with making a track and enjoying the piano. final Beyonce, effective voice, super dancer, stable place type.

I'd pick mary j., mainly because she is so real. she has a unique way of putting her life, her loves, her joy, her pain into her singing, and it comes across to so many people in such a powerful way that it just cannot be denied or ignored. If i was on a desert isle, all alone, her music would remind me of the spices of life.
