It is simply naive to believe that any politician, whatever group they fall under, can be expected to be perfect.
People make mistakes and will continue to do so.
We Americans need to take our country back from the business interests. If everyone actually stood up and voted, we would stand a chance in getting rid of the Democrats and Republicans. They're equally criminal in their flaunting of the needs of this country.
Get out and vote third party. Anyone and everyone who wouldn't normally vote needs to get out and vote. Make a difference.
If your government really wanted to get people to vote, they'd make vote day a national holiday and/or make the day to vote on a weekend. Most of middle America doesn't want to rush to a voting booth half and hour after they get off work just to stand around for hours for a vote they do not believe will matter.
Religion doesn't belong in our government. Over the last decade, Conservative/Liberal zealots have divided a country into an 'Us vs Then' mentality. We shouldn't be fighting each other. Republicans never came through on all the promises they made to religion. They never intended to. They just knew how easy it was to lie to them when they kept promising to follow through on all the hate.
Either way...go vote. Make a difference. A Yahoo post wont fix the country. A vote from you might, though.

1st off Clinton had an etra-marital affair. Just like untold number of good "church going" people do each year. What he did was not illegal. What Craig did was.
So Republicans are Liberals? Or just the bad Republicans? Ithink if you look up the definition of the word liberal, Republicans have nothing to do with being Liberal and never will!

personally ... I think its an attitude similar to yours that forces gays to stay closeted, and doesn't encourage healthy open discussion of sex and sexuality
it seems to me the denigration of our "cherished values" is caused by sweeping issues like this under 'the carpet' and not talking about them, and not being honest with ourselves, and in turn, with our children
when our children get most of there information about sex and sexuality from classmates who call each other f ag's and h0mos ... is this level of dysfunction really a surprise?
... not to me ... and I'm in no way defending this guy Craig

Clinton had sex with an adult of the opposite gender.
How is that setting an example for Craig's conduct?
And your use of the word "liberal" seems to imply that "liberal" means "anything you don't like" -- what Craig did had nothing to do with the liberal political movement or philosophy -- it was an individual non-political action by one person.

Craig should be happy with liberal laws which legalized sodomy in most states.
Can you imagine what the penalty would be if sodomy (or soliciting for the purpose of) was still illegal in Minnesota?
