I read in this book about this girl who lived in england and took a ferry from there to france. Is that possible? If so please give me information and a website i can go to if you know one thanks!

Yes, it is. You take the ferry from a place called Folkstone (sp?). You can also take the train from London to Paris.

Ferry's run from England to France every day. There is nothing unusual about it.
