there is a good chance it could be broken. You need to go to the hospital asap and get x-rays done. Because if it is broken you need to have it set right away. If it starts to heal wrong because of not being set you may have to have surgery to rebreak it and it will take longer to heal.

I did exactly the same thing over a week ago and my left arm still hurts, although it is getting better..

Three years ago I fell down some stairs and had fractured the arm in two places but the doctor advised just putting it in a sling. within a few weeks it was fine. That's why I haven't been to the A&E this time.

If the pain is unbearable, I would go to A&E. If it is a little better each day, I would just leave it. It may just be bruised.

get an x ray, falling on an outstretched arm is a common way to break or fracture your wrist.

good luck

go to an orthopedic surgeon and depending on what he says, he'll decide if you need to get an x-ray. it might just be sprained. ice it for 20 minutes, then wait 2 hours, ice it for 20 minutes. ect. this might hurt it a little bit, but it's for the best. take extra strength tylenol if you need to.

You need to go get it checked out by a doc as you may have a minor fracture or some torn ligaments etc. See the doc now and get it checked out.

Go see your doctor, like others have said there may be future consequences (i.e. arthritis, tendon damage) if you don't
good luck
