the TSA agent "frisked me" and when he was done, put the wand near my laptop. I tried using it but noticed the charge was 0%! I plugged it into an outlet and it still worked. I hope the battery is still ok....it's charging right now. Would this have drained my battery and is the battery ok ya think?

actually to be specific, the guy put the wand right on my laptop and it sat there for a good few minutes before I moved it away.

Definitely NOT! It does not even touch your laptop.

It does not affect batteries. All those wands do is send out high pitched sound that is reflected back at a sensor that beeps if it is struck (the metal is the only thing that reflects it).

I understand your concerns but I believe your battery lost its charge because it has battery memory.
run it fully flat and recharge it a couple of times then charge it fully and get it tested it may be at the end of its working life.
I have had a similar experience going through security i n Moscow with my camcorder but a chat with an electrical engineer dispelled my fears.

Ummm. No. It wont. I think your battery is as good as it was before going thru security.
