My dad has been on the local news several times. He's a trucker (for appx. 20 years now) and they interview him when he's getting ready to leave in the snowy season. One year they even showed him chaining up. The funniest part is that my dad is one of the most shy people I know!

I was on the news when the Virgina Tech shooting happen, I was at the college and we had rung our bell for all the victims that got hurt. I been in the newspaper for college events too

Great story. I have been on TV several times, a few times for school, and 3 years ago when my mom and little brother (he was 10 then) got run over. My mom was a huge help to the community and very involved in it, she did everything possible to help out and i was told to give a speech since no one else in the family was willing to do it. I admit that i cried during the speech and it was great to let people know what my mom had done for the community

My dad pulled a guy out of a car that was on fire while people were standing around watching the guy die. He was on the front page of ther paper and he was on the news all over Washington!

I played hookie from work to protest Bush Sr. coming to my town, there werent too many of us, but the news channels ran up to us, and one channel interviewed me, another interviewed my daughter as to why we were there. (needless to say my boss saw it, but he laughed, he thought it was a hoot).
Then my diabetes story caught the eye of a local reporter who did my story and gave me a makeover, that was cool.

My Aunt was interviewed on the news when her home was destroyed by a tornado. My nephew works for a big car lot and is on their commercials.

i've been on the new several times. i was on it for halloween, and for a couple buissnesses (new ones and ones that were going outta buissness) it was fun! plus i was on there by accident, i walked through the screen. i didn't know they were filming! :{
