No, Congress should do what the American people have clearly stated they want -- a withdrawl out of Iraq.

And Congress has full authority to do that -- based on its explicit powers in Article I Section 8 of the Constitution.

Sadly, Congress is largely spineless, and will likely refuse to do their job. As usual.

No but hell no. There is 300,000,000 people in the U.S. divide the among them and we could all be set for life and not hit a lick at a snake. We have spent enough on this crap already, not to mention how many men have dyed for this cause. We need to get back in control of our government. A sum of money like this should be voted on by the people, not passed by congress without our hear say. Thousands and Thousands of men have fought and dyed for this country just so our government can give it away to every country in the world. What America needs is a wake up call, not pin head as president.

We really need to wait for the reports coming out next month.

If they justify the request then he'll probably get it.

If not then I would hope that Congress would give him a budget that could only be used for troop withdrawal and if he used it for anything else then take the appropriate action not using the funds correctly.

He cannot justify on his actions now and probable don't care cause he can't run for office again. Boy him and his dad done a great job while they were in office, didn't they?, NOT.

You mean Cheney's companies don't have all the US money by now. I guess because part of it went to the insurgents to fund the terriorists.
