where does jilly copper write her books?

I have met her several times at book signings and (a) she always remembers my name (sometimes prompted by her publisher) and (b) she always brings chocolates. She is one of the very nicest, kind and sweetest novelists I have ever met. She writes her novels at home in the Cotswolds (I think) but I remember one year when she was bringing her manuscript to her publisher in London and she was in one of those terrible train crashes. Her concern was NOT for her manuscript but for the wellbeing of the other passengers. I have always had a very soft spot for her. I don't really go for her novels, but I love her London diaries and her columns for the Sunday Times in the 1970s. Barry.

Jilly COOPER is the author of such fantastic novels as Riders, Rivals, Polo, Score and Appassionata. They are all based in the fictional towns of Larkminster, Rutminster, Rutshire and Paradise,
I think these are based in around Gloucester and Cirencester.

I think she has a sort of summerhouse in the garden of her home which uses to write in because there are fewer distractions.

She lives in Gloucestershire and most of her books are based in that part of the country although she calls it Rutshire.
