"GOP became a wholely owned subsidiary of the God and Greed Coalition" I like that, I'm going to use it.

I'm a left leaning independent.
I don't care at all about his sexual orientation or even whether he's in or out of the closet.
Lewd acts in a public place is a crime, but that's between him and the law... once again, I don't care... What I DO care about is the hypocrisy.
Both he and Vitter were screeching like mandrills for Clinton's head on a platter because he had consentual sex with an adult woman in a private place.... Gingrich recently disclosed that he was having an affair WHILE pretending moral outrage at Clinton's sex life and howling for his ouster...
I don't care about their private lives. It's their hypocrisy and that of their supporters who don't hold them to the same standards that they hold others to.

Of course he's morally bankrupt. He's a Republican. Arlen Specter is the GOP's Potempkin Village. Outside of him, Integrity is strictly forbidden in the party.
I don't care what he does in the bathroom, although I wish he were man enough to be honest about it and do his cruising in Gay Bars or online, instead of hassling random strangers who really have to go. But I do care what he does in the Senate. Check out his On the Issues page and you'll see what I mean.

If the bathroom bust is what it takes to get him out of office, I'm cool with it.
I'm an Independent by inclination, but I've been voting Straight Democrat since 1980, when the GOP became a wholely owned subsidiary of the God and Greed Coalition.

Personally, I could care less what he does in his private life, with a consenting adult. What bothers me:
"Craig has been criticized for opposing legislation on gay rights. He’s voted against same-sex marriage and spoken out against homosexuals serving in the military."
There's hypocrisy in both parties and I really wish both parties would kick their hypocrites to the curb! Hypocrites and lack of integrity give their respective parties a bad reputation. I'm sick of 'do as I say, not as I do" politics!

What he does anywhere is his own business as long as he is not forcing it on someone. Morally bankrupt, no. Hypocrite, looks that way.

If he is doing it with a consenting adult in a private room it's fine. If he is soliciting it from unsuspecting souls in the next stall, it's not. That is what is at issue here, not his sexual preference.

No, I do not care what he does, I only care about what he says about it. His denials are not plausible, he has pandered to those that dislike gay people, making him a liar and a hypocrite.

Funny thing but it was Craig that promoted anti-gay legislation that gives funding to sting operations like the one that caught him. But I think Craig would agree with you....now.
Last week he thought it was vital to American family values.
