My toilet was not flushing, so we thought it must be stopped up so We took the toilet up from the floor and cleaned it out, well we washed it out and nothing came out. After running a water hose in it for 25 minutes it worked really good while it was still outside. So we bring it back into the house and hook it up, and then I try to flush it and it still doesnt work good. Like sometimes it will flush and other times it wont even flush, seems like one time it flushes then the next time it wont flush. What is wrong with my toilet?

Do you have the tank lid off when trying to flush it? It might be a problem with the flushing mechanism itself.

I had a toilet where the chain sometimes got caught on one of the parts in the tank, and that would cause it to not open the flapper when the lever was pushed.

I'm going with what I take is the the mechanics of the toilet is working but the ware just isn't leaving the toilet.
If this is the case and it did work good at one time I would say your sewer is starting to be plugged.
If I am on the right track of what you are explaining then take your toilet up and run water in the house drain it's self and see if it doesn't start backing up. If you have a septic tank it might be time to have it pumped out.
The other thing could be a vent is blocked but I would try the sewer first.

When you flush hold the handle down(gives a little more pressure to the flow) but look at the water ...is it spinning nicely..if it isn't, you have something inside the toilet..could be a toothbrush, a q-tip, a pencil, a good test is to take one sheet of toilet paper and lay it in the toilet and then flush..if it spins well and flushes, thats not the problem...if it does not spin try using a toilet auger and spend a good hour augering at every place you feel a stop on the snake.. if you can't get it straightened out ,you will have to buy another toilet

Make sure the rubber ball or flat rubber stopper is hooked onto the chain connected to the handle inside the tank. Then check to see if the rubber ball or flat rubber stopper is completely covering the water tank hole inside the tank so the water can fill-up the tank. Sometimes the chain can get tangled after a flush which prevents the stopper from completely covering the hold and you will constantly hear a running sound, meaning the water is running but not filling the tank. Running water is wasting money.

It sounds to me like you need to call a plumber. I had trouble with mine flushing and called a plumber and he had to get roots out of my lines. This helps to clear the lines until the roots grow back. In my area it costs about $100.00 to get this done but it is worth it to be able to flush your toilet.

your faucet/spigot may have low water pressure, or, your septic tank may be full, there are millions of possibilities, maybe the plunger or chain is bad, or loose. call the plumber.

when you remove a toilet, you break a seal, and a gasket, be sure to replace the gasket, and buy some sealant, you may be filling the floor with water each time you do flush.
