My Fiance has two children ( 14 yr. old girl and 17 yr. old boy ) who had chosen to live with their mother who is a severe alchoholic... both children since moving in with their mother have since moved out on their own. ( girl with a 21 yr. old boyfriend and son living in the streets due to a bad drug habit. ) ALL child support money is spent at the local bar by the mother and the children will have nothing to do with their Dad because they refuse to follow simple rules in our home.
( no drugs etc) He pays more than half of our paycheck in child support to be wasted each month by the mother and weare barely getting by ourselves. ( We have a 7 week old daughter in our home) We have called CPS and police about the childrens living conditions and NOTHING has been done. This has been going on for almost a year now. We have heard you can end your parental rights and then be free of paying support or caring for the children any longer. Is this true? And can this be done in the state of IN

We have tried telling the courts about what has happened with the childrens living situation and nothing has or will be changed... every complaint we have had against the mother is taken as my Fiance trying to "get back at her" and the children echo their moms cover stories to keep living how they chose without rules. Both children are completely unmanagable and steal, fight, do not attend school, use drugs, sleep with over adults, drink and are constantly in trouble. Since bringing all this to court and now paying so much child support we have no money to bring this back to court for a custody battle of sorts... we just need to get away from this train wreck before our family is dragged into it. BTW does anyone know a lawer that could help or can we do this and represent ourselves? We are depserate!!!!!
