Because love is a battlefield. If you and your partner truly love one another, then it's worth getting hurt when trouble arises, because you know that in the end your wounds will heal.

Love hurts because it is rarely equal. Usually one has stronger feelings than the other, or feelings fade...etc. At first, people bring their "A" game, then after time we discover the real person, and usually judge them harshly, sometimes deservedly so..If there is an answer or solution to this I would think it would be something like "If there is anything that you would change about the person you are in a relationship with, then get out or decide to accept them as they are". Do not try to change anyone....it wont work !

They stick around hoping for the better that love will heal in time and the hurt goes away.

Love usually hurts in the beginning--maybe you have an upset stomach when you are apart. I think it's part of the longing to be with the person and the uncertainty you may be feeling. Once the uncertainty is over, you pretty much just feel happiness in the presence of the person you love and you have love in return.

the thing is a lot of people lead boring lives. theres work and theres school and theres responsibilites and thats about it, life is a routine. they lack passion in their life. and love, the good and the bad aspect, is nothing more than a bunch of passionate moment people are striving for. they stick around for the pure thrill, or sometimes lust of it.

If they are hurting, perhaps they are hypochondriacs. Sorry, I just couldn't resist the chance! I suppose it is human nature to want to stay with or around people you love.
