it doesnt it goes from a refinery which makes crude oil into gas then to the station by ship and lastly buy truck....shell or whatever owns the refinery or buys from the refinery for a cheap price....when dollar by the barrel means crude and not refined gas....... Then the distributer (shell) sells one barrel for about 4 times what its worth per gallon and that is the profit of the oil companies.....Fuqed up huh?
