A 1% solution is 1g disolved in 100ml of solution.

5000ml is our volume, so 1% would be 50gms.

Im assuming you mean "grams" and 5000 ml. For a 1 % solution you need 1 gram / 100ml or 50 grams for 5000 ml, so 50 grams.

= (5,000 mg * 0.01) / 1,000 mg
= 50 mg / 1,000 mg
= 0.05 gm

Answer: 0.05 grams or 50 milligrams
