Am I supposed to send it to them right away and do I just go to the post office with my package and send it from there?

Wait until they pay. On your items sold page there will be an icon. It will say instant payment, or pending payment, or maybe the person is sending a money order. Wait for the money. Then you can go to the post office and ship it. I would get delivery confirmation (not signature confirmation) so you and the buyer can track the package by the del. conf. number.

Contact buyer and tell them it is on the way and give them the del conf number. You are done except for feedback. Make sure you pack it well.

Ebay is very user friendly. In your sold list, there should be a drop down menu next to each individual item with options. If you haven't already, send them an invoice and await payment. Once you have confirmed payment has been cleared you can ship.

USPS has made shipping very convenient also. You can do it the old school way and package everything, label it, bring it to the post office, stand in line to pay for postage, and they take it and ship it. Or, you can open a Click & Ship account on USPS.com and make labels/print/pay for everything online (with confirmation/tracking ability) and drop the package off to be shipped.

When you get home, go back to that drop down menu. Indicate item as shipped. Wait for their feedback before you post yours.

Wait until you get paid. If you used Pay Pal, they will notify you when payment has been made. If they mail you a personal check (which I would NEVER reccomend accepting), make sure it clears your bank first. This could actually take a few days. Money orders and cashiers checks are normally as good as cash, but in this day and age there could be forgeries out there so I would wait until those clear as well just in case. Let the buyer know this (it should be in your item description on your ebay listing). Pay Pal truly is your best bet.

Email them and see how they are going to pay - congratulate them for winning the item, and assure them you'll send their item as soon as you receive payment. Mention in your email the total cost, including shipping.

you wait for payment. if it's paypal you are good to send after that
if it's check you deposit it and wait for it to clear
money orders are as good as cash

never send things till money is in hand and cleared.
then after you mail the item you can send an email to the buyer letting them know it's on the way and to leave feedback after it's reached them
