Hola IRRO,

The TrueLife WUXGA is a better display.

These are the major differences between the 2 screens.

1) The WUXGA option has a native resolution of 1920x1200 which is superior to the native WXGA resolution of 1440x900 (non-standard).

2) The WUXGA option has a contrast ratio of 500:1 which is superior to the WXGA contrast ratio of 400:1.

3) The WUXGA option incorporates Dell's UltraSharp technology modification which provides increased wide angle viewing. This is superior to the limited wide angle viewing capabilities of the WXGA version which is not modified.

Here is Dell's comparison chart for these screen options.

The WUXGA screen will cost you about $145 more, but it may be worth it if you appreciate the wide angle viewing.

These notebook screen options are available for most new Dell models: Inspiron, Vostro, XPS etc....

GOOD LUCK!!

WUXGA is 1920 by 1200

UXGA is 1600 by 1200, so wide keeps the vertical and increases the horizontal to a 16:10 aspect ratio.

WXGA can be 1280 by 720 or 1280 by 768 or 1280 by 800 or 1360 by 768 or 1366 by 768.
depending on the panel.

XGA is 1024 by 768, so WXGA should be 1228.8 by 768. All the above resolutions are standard panel sizes and are close to these values, so get bunched into the WXGA moniker.
