I was wondering, I thought I may have miscarried about six days ago, I was due for my period , but never had a chance to find out if i had missed a period, because I started spotting for a couple of days & then I had a real heavy bloodflow so bad i needed a super tampon & a pad, this is not usual for me I had cramping, lower back pain headaches, sore legs & my glutes were sore too & I had no energy, my husband had to pick me up & put me to bed as I felt like I could have slept the whole entire day away, I kept bleeding for the next 5-6 days and I am still spotting slightly! is this just an unusally heavy period or did i miscarry?

Miscarriage - Symptoms
Symptoms of a miscarriage include:
* Vaginal bleeding that may be light or heavy, constant or irregular. Although bleeding is often the first sign of a miscarriage, first-trimester bleeding may also occur with a normal pregnancy. Bleeding with pain, however, is a sign that miscarriage is more likely.3
* Pain. You may have pelvic cramps, abdominal pain, or a persistent, dull ache in your lower back. Pain may start a few hours to several days after bleeding has begun.
* Blood clots or grayish (fetal) tissue passing from the vagina.
It is not always easy to tell whether a miscarriage is taking place. A miscarriage often does not occur as a single event but as a chain of events over several days. One woman's physical experience of a miscarriage can be very different from another woman's experience.

Yes, it is very possible that you had a first trimester miscarriage. You might want to have an exam to make sure you don't have any type of infection from leftover matter in your uterus. It is removed by a very simple procedure called a "D & C", which stands for Dialation & Curretage. I may have misspelled that, but the doctor dialates your cervix, enters your uterus & scrapes out anything that is causing you problems. It is similar to an abortion procedure. Slightly painful, but more of a discomfort sensation. Ask to be put to sleep if you are the sensitive type. Otherwise, you'll just get a "local", that will numb the area they are working on. You might need some iron supplements. Have them check you for anemia (being tired is just ONE of the symptoms).

I would go to the hospital and have it checked out. It might not be nothing but it might be something. Better for you to take care of yourself then to let it go and you get dealthy ill because if you did miscarry something was left behind and it didn't get all out. I have really heavy periods and sometimes I have just spotting. It could be hormonal the reason behind this. Above all though you need to be checked out by a medical professional if this isn't normal for you.

I had a miscarriage about 3 weeks ago. I was about 6 weeks, but the Dr. told me that most occur within the first 2-12 weeks. You need to go see a gyn. You might need a DNC. I needed a transfusion because I lost so much blood, but I had the same symptoms you listed. I hope you are doing ok. Take care.

It is very possible you have had a miscarriage. I had 8 of them. That sounds very familiar. You can ovulate really anytime in between periods. You could actually get preg. the day after your period. Very sorry to hear the news.
When I was trying to "make a baby" I couldn't do it. When I finally "gave up" is when I got preg.. Just don't worry about it, and then it will happen. I guarantee it.
If you are worried, it will not happen. If you are relaxed and happy, it will happen quickly. Just take good care of yourself right now. Then try again if that is what you want. It will happen. I have faith. I will say a prayer for you.
And I had two very awesome kids after the miscarriages. It will happen for you too!

Since you never had a positive pregnancy test it's hard to tell. However, if it happens again definitely go to the doctor. If you are repetitively miscarrying or having unusually heavy periods that could indicate a problem.

yes, there is a possibility you did had a miscarriage. But there are other possible explanations for the heavy blood flow.. and I think it is best, that you go to a hospital and have yourself checked right away before anything else happens. This is blood flowing out of your system. You should have gone to the hospital as soon as you felt it wasn't normal. Arrest the situation right away and don't wait.

from what i have read the time frame you are describing would indicate that the egg never implanted. sometimes it doesn't. i usually don't have a heavy flow at all, one regular day and two light days never any cramping but about once a year i have a WHOPPER period that basically confines me to the bed for a day or two and it is awful. that may be what you were experiencing.

Sounds like you may have miscarried. You definitely need to go to the Dr and be checked out in case of infection.
