rich only getting richer, government turned down money from other countries for katrina disaster, marital couples killing each other, more kidnapping... whats really going on here in the US?

What's mostly going on is people are focusing on what other people are doing, and that is distracting them from what they need to do in their own lives.
If Leona Helmsley were alive today, that 12 million still wouldn't help the poor. Nothing has changed.
Or has it?
If the money is in trust for the care of the dog, people will be employed bathing, feeding, and walking the dog. I suppose they already were, so again, nothing has changed.
Now, while we're all watching this unusual bequest on behalf of a dog, are we doing anything about our own situations? Are we eliminating credit card debt, or adding to it? Are we saving part of our income to be prepared for the future, whether that be transitional unemployment, home purchase or repair, major repairs to a car, or do we spend everything we make to compensate for our fear of investing?
The fact is that people don't do the things they do because they're poor, they're poor because they do the things they do.
Leona's fortune wasn't made by taking advantage of people, it was made by providing people with what they wanted. If she wants to give it to a dog, that's fine by me.

the creation of the illusion of security and infinite potential. Theres always time to rebuild and make everything right and we have the inginuity and endless resources to do it....yeah...thats the illusion. No ones gonna run on camera and say we're dead because solutions sell not problems.
