Reading with him in your arms. My mother did this from before I can remember, and it has paid off handsomely in my life, and in the lives of many others.

Thank God for wise moms who know what is most precious!

I know the perfect gift for a 6 year old!
You can buy him a Webkinz! If you don't know what Webkinz are, you can go toy www.webkinz.com, or you can google it, or i can just tell you! Webkinz are these little stuffed animals, that come with a secret code, you put the secret code on the website and you can play with the pet virtually, if you don't know where to get Webkinz then you can go to the webkinz.com and click on store locator and try to find a store near you, or you can go to sites where you can buy them, such as amazon, or ebay, but if you get them on ebay you have to make sure they are brand new and come with the code. And you can do a lot of things on Webkinz, Webkinz are for any ages (my step-mom has a few) and so does the rest of my family. On Webkinz you, can do daily things like search for gems. And in Webkinz you learn a ton of stuff! Well, If you need any more information email me at xpinkandgreenx@hotmail.com and i would be glad to help!

Consider an activity kit, like one from Klutz
( http://www.klutz.com ). They have books for making paper airplanes, drawing comic book characters, and more. Rather than sitting in a corner, the child will be engaged in creating something they can keep forever. Creativity for Kids makes great art kits, and some are boy-oriented, such as the paint-a-dino kit. http://www.creativityforkids.com/prodsearch-resultsNew.asp?ItemName=&Cat1=0&Age=6&search.x=86&search.y=42&search=Search

Or, a really great, fun book like the kid's version of The Guinness Book of World Records. (You can buy him an inflatable globe to go with it.) There are also lots of great books about dinosaurs out there. You could get him one of those along with a dinosaur toy as a "theme gift."

My little brother loves Army soldiers and planes and little cars. He loves western sets with lots of cowboys and indians. Last year I bought him a space shuttle that had buttons to press which played sounds of the blast-off and engine noise and stuff. He played with it for awhile. Boys are easy to shop for. They like all that technological stuff. Stuff that they can play with on the floor or like a western set to set up on their bed. That gives them lots of room without having to run around the house or go outside in the street or too far away from the house.

I gave my nephew a silver dollar (among other things), last year. He still has it and like to talk about it with me.
