They're not reliable at all and anyone who believe=s them is pretty sad. The idea that stars and planets many millions of miles away can 'send' an influence to a minor planet in a small solar system in an insignificant galaxy, pick one type of creature that lives there, understand it's concept of time, and invention of birthdates and then, somehow, transmit good or bad fortune to them is beyond belief.
I used to know a girl who worked for a newspaper and she and a couple of other girls used to write the drivel that they printed as horoscopes. When they'd done about ten each they'd put them in an envelope, pick out twelve at random and they became that day's 'horoscopes'.
Please never, ever take any credence in the rubbish they print and take these people that claim to be 'gifted' or 'clairvoyant' for exactly what they are, Cheating Fakes.

It makes no difference who writes them, they are not reliable. There is no way that 12 paragraphs corresponding to the 12 signs of the zodiac could relate accurately to the lives of billions of people.

Many writers are hired to write horoscopes. Its a bunch of bologne. Basically, these writers have to be witty to be hired..
