to claim a K-12 school policy is currently "harming" them?

If neither person has "standing", and a parent has no "standing" while the child is both a minor and in the K-12 public school system, how is anyone protected from anything un-Constitutional in the K-12 system?

There are lawsuits filed all the time to contest the constitutionality of school policies. However schools do have the right and responsibility to maintain a safe learning environment for children so they do have some leeway to restrict speech, dress and behavior that is otherwise constitutional.

The minor has standing, but cannot file the lawsuit themself. The parent has third-party standing, and can file the lawsuit on behalf of their minor dependent.
