For goodness sakes, she is a person who got nervous and was put "on the spot" in front of a lot of people...that in no way makes her dumb or unitelligent! I know it has happened to everyone at some point in time whether you were in a meeting, giving a speech, or a pageant contestant and then later you think "I must have sounded like such an idiot". There was really no "graceful" way of handling the situation, she reacted better than me...I would have just cried and ran off stage : - ) Plus, I think it is a great example and how human and not perfect that she is when she recieved third place! We all make mistakes! And she has just made her self more famous than the girl who actually won (which by the way I have no idea who that is)

Do, I care...no. Was it funny...absolutely.
Interestingly, I was just visiting some relatives in South Carolina yesterday, and NO ONE had heard about it. I saw one of the local papers...nothing about it. One of the relatives was a grade school teacher and you would have at least thought they would have been talking about it in the schools. They thought I was joking. I'm really not sure they believed me even after I assured him it was for real.

ive been in her position its not easy to come up with something award winning on the spot...but still hers was awful i felt bad till i heard her re-answer during an interview...it was almost as silly. i would have had a much more appropriate answer picked out incase i got the chance to answer again. hers was childish and simple....and she still got third? what about the girls who didnt fubble out a bunch of ums ands and random countries. i still feel bad for her. she's a kid and it was just a case of nerves...with a lil bit of lack of intelligence.
her re-answer:
"Well personally, my friends and I, we know exactly where the United States is on our map. I don't know anyone else who doesn't. And if the statistics are correct, I believe there should be more emphasis on geography."

No. I don't care at all about these T&A pageants but this was good for a laugh. This chick could have an excellent future in comedy. She doesn't even need writers. Just put her in front of a camera and let her talk.

No, I don't.
I do feel sorry for her.
Most everyone (including myself) has at some time spoken before an audience and, for some people, it's just not easy.
-And once you start rolling down that hill . . . what a feeling.

No...it's just a good laugh. The media is having a time of it though.
Great point Kim...she is the future of our country! So sad!

Not really. Frankly I couldn't even figure out what she was saying but was pretty sure it wasn't an appropriate answer.

Its not right to degrade her , even though she made herself look dense on national television, no one is perfect . Her response is very popular might I add. But hey we all make mistakes, and her nerves took over her.
